Track from August 5: Cheer for Your Hero

2012 London Olympic Games has gone into full swing. People shout aloud to inspire athletes to achieve excellent performance and win glory for the country. The competition is so fierce that every athlete struggles with his peers for medals. My heart goes out to this Games and I hope everyone can outdoor himself and make a great breakthrough.

Among all the competitions following, which one do you expect most? I must say, track from August 5 to 12 is my favorite. However distant, I have neither strength nor patience to persist. Therefore, I quite admire those who are good at running. In this year, Liu Xiang still remains one of the most exciting athletes. Although plagued by injury, Liu insists on training as before. Since breaking the world record, he has received so much pressure. I sincerely hope that he can win a gold medal this time. But whatever he achieves, Liu is a hero in my mind, always and forever.

Few days ago, some publicity photos of famous track athletes have been posed. Let’s enjoy them and find out who is the hero in your heart.

Liu Xiang (born July 13, 1983) is a Chinese 110 meter hurdler. Liu is an Olympic Gold medalist and World Champion. He is the first Chinese athlete to achieve the "triple crown" of athletics: World Record Holder, World Champion and Olympic Champion.

Allyson Michelle Felix (born November 18, 1985) competes internationally for the United States, primarily in the 200 meters. She is a two-time Olympic silver medalist at the 200 meters, as well as the only woman ever to be a three-time Athletics World Championship gold medalist. She also wins gold at the Beijing 2008 Olympics in US women's 4 × 400 meters team.

Carmelita Jeter (born November 24, 1979) is an American sprinter who specializes in the 100 meters. She won the 100m bronze at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics and gold at the World Athletics Final. Winning gold of the World Athletics Final and the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix, made her the second fastest woman ever in the 100m.
